Dougie's Falklands Project
« on: 10 July 2021, 04:04:16 PM »

This project originally started on The Guild back in 2011 and its been bubbling along ever since albeit with some considerable breaks!
I chose 20mm as a scale and my intention is to game the small actions that battalion attacks broke down into during the campaign. Figures wise I'm using Liberation, Elhiem, Britannia, some of the original Hotspur range and anything else that's suitable, for rules at the moment I'm playing a lot of "Fireteam Modern" by Rory Crabb and enjoying it.
If you're thinking of gaming the conflict you really need a copy of After the Battle's "The Falklands War then and now" by Gordon Ramsey, expensive but worth every penny! There are some excellent written accounts and studies of the war and the following picture shows my "must reads"  ;)

To start off with here's some random figure shots
British Special forces - Liberation Miniatures

Argentinian Special Forces - Hotspur Miniatures

Comando 602 Top Malo House

Updates to follow.
