Solomon Kane Movie trailer!!!

I have to agree with Doc Twilight, I got hold of the complete Solomon Kane stories a few years back, and found them to be some of the best Howard did next to the Conan stories. This film, while looking good, could really be any kind of lord of the rings knock off, it doesnt feel like Kane to me.

I normally read the book/comic, then feel desperately disappointed by the film/tv adaptation. Even the Lord Of The Rings films weren't perfect [though superb].

This time I'm hopefully going to love the film, then be blown away when I read the stories. I love the Conan books, so I'm really looking forward to reading Solomon Kane

I think as long as he is a puritanical dude who is conflicted about kicking the crap out of baddies it should be O.K. Hope for a little daemonic action and that appears to be there as well...plus, he looks cool-ass!

I met James Purefoy at San Diego Comic Con this year.  Talk about the nicest guy ever!  Really easy going and personable.  He was there doing a panel for SK.  I didn't get to see it, but I asked him about it and that when he told me about the panel.

Why no one in the US has picked this up is waaaay beyond my understanding.  I've been waiting for this thing to come out for over a year.

Doc Twilight's "Black Army Productions" have or will have a very nice looking "Puritan Witch Hunter" who looks very suitable.



I'm not sure of the state of play, but I'm sure the Doc will let us know

The state of play as it were is that the miniature is cast and that I'm currently awaiting the delivery of stock (which was expected within the last 24-48 hours). I had expected to begin selling by today at the very latest.... I really need to learn to be more cynical.

When the stock arrives,the LAF will be given first dibs.
