Great to see another 40mm collector, lovely collection, like the Spanish.  In terms of gaming have you tried "Charge" by Brig Peter Young, also there is an older set for Napoleonic's called Playable Napoleonic rules - features a nice game - 5/6 battalions per side, few squadrons of cavalry and some artillery.

Look forward to seeing more of your collection.

I've modelled both in everything from 6 to 28 so far so I'd imagine I'll end up with some of each

I'm sure I will I'm going to start with enough models to run A Song of Drums and Shakos but if that works out I'll see if I can stretch to Sharp Practice

My main tumbling point will be terrain

I'm hoping 28mm stuff will be an ok fit?

Have you considered paying someone to scratch-build it?
If you are UK based I (& no doubt others) could be interested.

Tight budgets would suggest that's unlikely

 lol lol lol

You never know.  One building each couple of months would yield a village within a year.
If you are interested then PM me.

I have been looking at the games on your blog, very interesting indeed.  What are the base sizes you use for 4 foot figures. not sure if I go for 4 or 6 to a base?

Four foot on 40mm front and 50mm depth, lots of room on the bases surprisingly. Skirmishers in pairs on 40mm round base.

Certainly larger 28mm buildings will look fine. I have a few and are all billed as 28mm but look the part at 40mm.

How small do you go for single figures, I'm thinking 25mm MDF would look right but does the weight play an issue when chosing base size?
