I'd probably buy one if they were selling it outright(even at GW prices), but not worth subscribing to WD just for the figure.   >:(

If you want Dwarves in space, go for Hasslefree's Grymn, or Bob Olley's Scrunts. Not cheap, but I personally find both ranges are far better figures than the GW "bowling balls with limbs" concept. Well sculpted maybe, but the anatomy is laughable. The Scrunts are slightly more caricature-ish, but those mini-ZZ Top dudes are a headbanging Sci-Fi gamer's dream come true  lol

Then again, what do I know  :(

Already have a White Dwarf subscription? Fear not, you too can get your hands on this fantastic miniature by calling Customer Service on ------- (UK) or -------(US).

The White Dwarf Subscription model costs £8 in the UK or $15 if you are in the US

they will probably carry on doing this with this new subscription fig.

It looks good, it could even be used if the backpack was replaced.

and btw, Squats did have their own musicians, they had synthesizer players, Eldar had synthesizer players and even a harp player, that was back when 40k was basically WFB in space, most armies had rules for musicians, banners, champions and such to include in command groups.

I see some using old musicians for vox casters or stuff like that.

Sort of like a very short Rick Wakeman at his prog-rock peak?

Sounds like "Yes in space". Could make for a good Dwarf civil war scenario versus the Texas Scrunts  lol

lol lol nice one, Mr Overlord!

:o Do they really have amps on their shoulders, or have I regressed into some drug-induced 70's Sci-Fi Nirvana?

Those are wonderful, even though they are GW Dwarves  :-*

They are great, but are rare, even among Squats, so get them on ebay for one million £...

btw, those are not ones I painted, I just stole the pic on google search  ;) I only managed to get my hands on one myself and it is still unpainted...

That's a shame, but they have given me an idea for converting a trio of Texas Scrunts and 28mm drums, guitars and shoulder-mounted amps shouldn't be too taxing  :D
