The Battle was fought to a very bloody and historical conclusion. But the real winner today was friendship and fun with gentlemen wargamers. Thank you every so much for making the trip over the Welsh border boys, it was a pleasure to host.

Just as a point of interest. although we used Hail Caesar for this game. I use activation cards to denote the turn sequence.

Red Hector of the Battles Maclean. He was the son of Lachlan Lubanach Maclean and distinguished himself by many daring exploits. He was noted as being one of the best swordsmen of his time, that many knights came from distant parts to cross swords with him.

I've just read the whole thread again from start to finish, its a lovely collection. What's really good is the sense of activity on each individual base. The way the cavalry are based give a real sense of movement as well. What base sizes are you using and what would you suggest isa good size figure wise for a unit?
I cannot pretend to feel impartial about colours. I rejoice with the brilliant ones and am genuinely sorry for the poor browns. - Winston Churchill

The heavy infantry is based on 50 by 50mm bases with 5 figures per base.

The medium infantry/archer is also based on 50 by 50mm bases with 4 figures per base.

Heavy cavalry is based on 50 by 85mm bases with 3 figures per base.

English Archers of the Baron Hugh le Dispenser. More archers I hear you say, well ladies and gentlemen, one can never have enough bowmen in a medieval army. These lovely miniatures are from https://alternativeminiatures.com

Fab <3

I was a little concerned that the project might have been put on hold! I'm pleased that is not so Gareth.
