Cracking stuff. 

Colour aside, the way the old Russians wear those berets is outstanding. The beret is a fairly naff bit of headwear to start with but the Russians managed to take it to new heights. Perhaps only Michael Crawford came close to realising a similar level of comedic potential in the simple boina.

Mind you, I fancied Chaka Khan in her beret but I would have fancied her in anything.
