Nice battle report.  Huzzah for the Continentals!

Like how you've done up your armies.  You've set up your units similarly to mine, only mine are 1:72/20mm.

Well done, lad!

Thank you for the kind comments. I just base them according to the rules. Three to a base is called "loose Infantry" and four to a base is considered tight infantry. Rarely do we have tight infantry. Tight infanry get a bonus in combat but have trouble moving on the rough terrain of late 18th Century America.  Loose infantry pays on penalty for rough terrain or light woods but going into any kind of woods will disorder a unit. Units have been three to five bases. Four bases being the norm.

My infantry are all based 3 to a stand, in a single rank like yours.  That represents a standard line of the time.  Loose order or skirmish lines just see the stands separated by up to a base width.  My units are between 4 and 6 stands, although my French can be up to 8 stands.  Here's an example of my stuff in action (the 2nd battle - the 1st uses my wargaming buddy's 28mm stuff):

My 1:72/20mm War of 1812 armies are based similarly.

Your stuff looks really good, in any event.

Great job on the paint jobs. I have a small collection of Foundry AWI and Warlord games I am planning to build up. Great inspiration from your army's and battle report.
