I'm going to finish them...and then stuff them in a box for most of the time. :D
So… what we all do with our armies? lol
Looking forward to seeing your take on the empire :)

Well, I scored a narrow victory for my Bazanti against my buddy's undead army yesterday.  He has a not-Bretonnian force and a large Orc army he's working on at the moment.

I also started with the Empire units from Battle Masters.  They are taking a lot more time to paint than the bad guys (just more...fiddly?).  First unit complete.

2024 Painted Miniatures: 255

Had some buddies get together for a rather large game of FSF this weekend.  My buddy's Dwarf army looked incredible (and he painted it in about a week!)

Played about 5-5.5 hours...and the game came down to a literal draw...too close to call!  We should have set a scenario and better win conditions :D

Great looking game! I like the dwarves- are they 3D printed? The only quibble I would have is with the mounts, as I prefer horses/ ponies to exotic critters. Your friend’s execution on them is excellent, though.

Yep, all the dwarfs are Highland Miniatures prints.  He prints them himself...I guess you'll dislike the bear cavalry he's planning on ordering! :D

The local group has decided to go in a Warhammer direction for their fantasy armies.  I am still debating what to start to fit into the narrative.

I’m sure there are others who’d appreciate bear cavalry… myself included lol

Sadly my buddy lives 3+ hours away, so...you'll only see dwarves here every six months or so, maybe less.  :'(

Ha! Yeah, no bears for me as mounts. I grew up in an area where bears (American black bears) were some of our closest neighbors and they’re not the sort of critter that you want to try sitting on!

Been doing some true-scale 'modeling', so I haven't done much lately on the miniature side...hoping that clears up soon though!

On the plus side, received some new test components.  The third version of the battle board which is now...a board (cheaper purchase/shipping than the neoprene mat).  Revised to replace the tug-of-war game score with a race to 9 VP's (with some steps along the way which determine other games).  Added a length turn tracker which provides some "night" turns (and more night turns on certain seasons, etc.).

Also received test bits for the spell decks (which helps remove duplicate spells from being used, etc.).

Already re-doing some spells and some layout stuff, but...test bits is test bits.

Finally making progress on the Empire half of the project...the archers are the same, just a matching picture instead.
