I appreciate the sculpting and casting of the Empress miniatures very much, so I second that.

Given the difference between regulation issues and the reality of campaign, too sophisticated attention on minor details like the size of badges etc. is way beyond my approach. (I regard this as reenactor level  ;))

I am perfectly content that the Empress cavalry look so fine and am looking forward to more different units to mix up.

I even thought of using Empress SCW nationalist cavalry as Hungarian Hussars in RCW, since the uniforms seem pretty similar to me.

thanks Empress ,might be able to talk one of my kids into buying me a few packs for xmas....or sell one of the kids fives always seemed a lot  lol

Blimey, looks like you will need to get 2 jobs with 5 nippers  :o Maybe sell two of them and you could then have a dedicated games room?

 lol

These really are lovely figures and fill a huge hole both in historical and VSF gaming. Who cares if horses didn't live long in East Africa [well, apart from animal lovers, of course] hopefully I'll be getting some as Christmas presents for my Darkest Africa games, along with some Perry Bengal Lancers :D

Lookoing forward to sseing the NMP!

Couldn't resist these guys and after ordering them on Sunday, received them today (UK to Spain).  FOUR DAYS!  Great Service!   :o

They've gone to the head of the painting queue.  Can't wait to put my brush to work on them...  ;D

Thanks, mate.

Still haven't dug out my old Zulu war books, but I had that feeling.

This will make me get on with my infantry so I can justify buying the cavalry!
