Painting is now done, though still drying in places. When fully dry I’ll add the grasses then a waft of Matt sealer to the roof tiles.

Edit: the chimneys aren’t quite so mono-colour in real life, as after taking the photos I wiped away some of the smoke stain to expose more of the brick

Though this is parked with my 15thC WotR project, I will use it for other periods and so have positioned a Bloody Miniatures 17thC Scot for the obligatory size comparison.

What a lovely backdrop for some ECW games.
I would like to see the 'units' staggered, as that
would create more areas of cover for a skirmish game.

Thanks everyone. FYI the terrain isn’t intended as a backdrop; it will be integral to play (I just record which units are in which buildings/tiles).

Anyways, these first 3 tiles are now complete so herewith some images of their final forms:

The fictional town of Hawsley is derived from a small part of medieval St Albans, with the layout and various field/street names being real. When putting the project together I modified an old map of St Albans to create a plan as follows….

…. which with the A4 tile system it seems I’ll pretty much be able to replicate (NB 1, 2 and 3 are the finished tiles):

The A4 sheets are numbered to match the plan (7 being the exception) and give an idea of the work still required.

And finally, a variation of the above planned table that will use what I’ve got for a game:

The buildings are outstanding!

When you see them on the board with all the shrubbery... eyepopping.  :-* o_o :o
