Excellent painting and conversions, a lot of thought went into this seemingly.
Can't wait for the next ones - which should be Incas, for sure. Each figure seems to be unique in its own right, so actually no need for diversion yet. ;)

Having hiked the "Inca Trail" for 4 days and visited several temples and towns, I'd like to say that roman roads are far easier to walk :)

That said, the people who live up there are able to do a hell of a lot more distance than any of us could and easier. I'll post an inspirational picture or two of llama's later :D

Jolly nice Paul  :-*

I agree with Lowtardog - keep going with the Incas. The conquistadors are much more appealing (to me anyway!) and they'll always be there for you later.
I'd get some more Incas under your belt while you still have the enthusiasm to do them  lol

Nice work! One of these days, when my wallet's talking to me again, I'll have to order some of those Outpost minis.  I've always had an interest in the Meso/South American civilizations, ever since I did a project on the Incas in Grade 6, around 45(!) or so years ago.

Came across an article on the army of Manco Inca while looking for something to peruse in the 'reading room'.  ::)
Colour pages shown below.  There are 4 more pages in the article.  If you're interested, PM me your address and I'll scan the rest and put them in a pdf for you.

Cheers,
Mike

For some inspiration, could watch the movie "Aguirre, Wrath of God."  Although I think it's one of the worst movies ever made, watching the conquistadors drop dead along the way has a certain grim entertainment value.  It's not really about Incas though...

Getting a copy in the UK is like getting hold of rocking horse droppings :-[ I think it is supposed to be set in Mexico if memory serves me. The Inca one is The Royal Hunt of the Sun

I've shared the same inspirational films etc. but from my reading of the period it seems gaming it may prove problematic given the one sidedness of the fighting. It was only when the Incas managed to bottle up the Spaniards in street fighting like in Cuzco negating the cavalry advantage and used sling, bolas etc. to counter the armour that they stood a chance against a technologically superior force. Even then you'd need scores more Incas than Spaniards. I'd be interested to know how you guys have got around these issues?
