Damn! You're right! I've been looking for great coat wearing minis for a conversion, and these would have been perfect.

I really like those figures but I agree the shoulder pads are to much like GW space marines, I might get them anyway as a special unit for my planned Russian force, although I am in a quandry as to whose figures to base the army on - Askaris central asia russians, Outposts 1877 range or one of the boxer risings ranges. Not only that ,Redoubt are shortly releaseing 1905 Russians.

I did just new molds for what I believe are the new Parroom Station Victorian Russian troops and command. I should be test casting these this weekend and as soon as I get a release date from Bob Charrette I will let you know.

As I have the  Brits ,Prussian ,Japanese ,and French Parroom  miniatures.....let alone most of the Martians and personalities I expect your Russians would jump to the top of the list. Please let us know asap as I was going to place a order in the next few weeks!

Lon, will the Parroom Brits with breathing masks be re-released? I think Bob said he was re-sculpting them.

I really like these, I agree with Argsilverson, perfect for VSF. I can't see anything Soviet about them at all. I don't mind the shoulder pads that much either.

As for being too GW, that's sometimes a good thing. GW imagery is very dark and gothic so some of it fits in well with VSF.

The height thing would seem to be the only problem.
