First infantry troops of the Witch-King.
I choose blue-greyish skintone to make northern orcs look more 'northern".

Normally I'm on the receiving end of similar comments, but I can't seem to get the pictures showing, no matter which browser I try...  :(

+++EDIT+++ My phone's browser seems to do the trick though...  ??? Looking good, in an evil sort of way  :D

Thanks! Because of their knee-long dress they cut and glue really well.

late to this, did you just cut down the legs? or did you do the arms and bodies as well?

I cut legs and necks (virtually they have no necks now). Dwarfs have quite a long arms in my opinion so human arms are good enough as they are.

Really good work there. They have a very distinctive feel, with the skin tones and snowy basing, and I like it!

What a great idea with those dwarfs! I initially didn't read properly and did think they looked very short for Victrix minis :D

Those cut-down-vikings-as-dwarves are really excellent!  :-*

Can only second this. Brilliant idea and excellently executed. I just might steal it down the line  ;)

Lovely project that seems to be lots of fun. These are Oathmark Orks, right? I think I built a couple of those, too.

Yes, these are Oathmark orc slaves - great miniatures.

I always liked the concept of Khazad-Dum Iron Guards - trading routs and posts dwarven guards fighting in "florentine" style with axe and sword. Converted mine from victrix vikings.

Did you cut off their legs and glued them back shorter?
Seamless job there, really came out great, I might steal this idea for future dwarf projects.

Yes, I cut their legs to ankles, then glued with a plastic glue and strengthened with green or brown stuff. Also cut their neck to achieve more dwarf-ish look. Also enlarged their noses and occasionally beards.

3d-printed ringwraith or maybe Witch-King himself!
Great miniatures from Bite the Bullet if a bit large for classic LOTR.

I was lazy and painted these miniatures using only zenital drybrush (except the horse which I painted in standard "horse way".
