Thanks folks - glad you’ve found the WIP useful though in all honesty I post it here to remind me in case I make another.

Anyways, it’s finished now.

That looks absolutely brilliant, you should be very pleased with it. Nice job on the painting too. I imagine it's still quite lightweight given the materials too?

Nicely done  :)

What sort of scatter are you going to do for it? Anything theme related?

Thanks all  :D

Yes, it’s very light in weight. And as it’s not too deep it stores in gaps that my thicker foam tiles won’t fit into.

Scatter is a conundrum. Trees are an obvious one, plus shattered tree trunks. Possibly rolls of barbed wire, possibly shattered fences.

To some extent it depends how the rules that I will use play out. I suspect that they’ll put down or jam up troops caught in the open, which suggests much cover will be desired. I might test the rules before making my final decision.

I do have a couple of light tractors (mini tanks) that are close to being 3D printed and they might also affect the terrain choices.

But first, I need to finish my Royalists!!!

Very interestedin seeing the tractors..

Those trenches have a nice(?) claustrophobic feel to them. Board looks great.

Thanks both

Very interestedin seeing the tractors..

I’m starting with the Crusader light tractor which will be a rework of a cartoonified Universal Carrier.

So far I’ve expanded the frontage of the drivers position, to create more depth. I need to print off a test piece to check sizing for the Quar, plus I’m waiting on the Heavy Auto Shotguns that will equip them to determine how much space I need in the main compartment.

In expanding the front I’ll be relocating the driver to the centre, for which I’ll need to further redraw the front shield

That’s some crazy cool software there.
The conversion seems like it’ll match Quar nicely.
I’m hoping that the tractors will be an upcoming release and I’ll just have to buy a mess of them.

Nice idea.

The running gear might need conversion to Pedrail rather than caterpillar track.

I have been trying to find a suitable description of the difference.

I think they were what were used in the HG Wells short story (1906?).
