Anything over 1000+ on the scale is potentially dangerous and the individual should seek treatment from appropriate professionals immediately.

Submitted.

I do feel that the estimates for how many unpainted miniatures one has, are monumentally lowballing expectations though. I mean; only 1000+ as the largest choice?  lol

True, and there's a scale factor at play here too, are 1000+ unpainted 6mm figures the same as 1000+ unpainted 28mm figures? Oddzial's Osmy's 3mm infantry comes in (not sure if it's changed lately) packs of 150 figures. I have more than seven of those packs around here...

Or as I intend to do; re-classify them as Grave Goods.

My children have threatened to bury me with my unpainted figures arrayed around me like the Chin Emperor and his Terracotta Army.  :) :) :)

I agree with the scale playing a part. I am down to 1239 unpainted 28mm figures which almost fits on 6ft one shelving unit.   The 2335 ~15 Warlord Epic ACW unpainted miniatures fit in one big box. Still a lot to paint but much easier to store.

Being buried with the painted figures would be better for afterlife gaming.
Painted:  2025:539; 2024: 410; 2023: 37; 2022: 56

Well, IIRC his were actually painted when he was buried with them, so get crackin' at getting an army of craftsmen assembled first to paint your army of diminutive grave guardians.
