The Great Wargaming Survey 2024

Hello to everyone on the LAF!

Wargames, Soldiers, and Strategy has launched its 11th annual survey of our great hobby of wargaming. The anonymised results are available on our blog for all wargames — you don't need to buy the magazine to see them. The more people who enter, the better chance we have of getting a comprehensive picture of the hobby as a whole for 2024.

You can choose to enter the prize draw. Every entrant gets a discount voucher from Karwansaray and a unique STL file courtesy of Atlantic Digital. This year, it is Montjoy, the French herald from Henry V.

Got older and game a lot less often which still feels weird. Thanks to being retired I also know exactly how many figures I have painted or not. This too would be weird to my younger self.

I do feel that the estimates for how many unpainted miniatures one has, are monumentally lowballing expectations though. I mean; only 1000+ as the largest choice?
