Those canisters look the business, though it's the AA machine gunners that I am most impressed by. Can't wait for the next instalment!

Next installment is underway.
Currently making more buildings for this project.
Shouldn’t need too many.

More progress.
Building Warbases new Mediterranean houses for the Crete project.

Initial build.

Then roof tiles added.

Second building built, and roof tiles.

Deliberately left some tiles off, to make the building a little more ‘authentic’.

Looking forward to seeing them stuccoed.  A sea of dazzling white walls and lurid blue details or a more faded, pre -tourism economy/ Air BnB look?

The church is a nice piece.

Looking on the Internet, I can see buildings like these with blue wooden doors and blue window shutters ?
Is that what you were implying?

Yup, it's the iconic look of Greece and the Greek islands as well as being the Greek national colours of course. White stucco and blue doors, windows and window shutters. It's not universal but pretty ubiquitous. You can mix in plain stone and rubble like walls.

To get the look of a typical Cretan or Greek village, you'll want a mix of tiled roofs and flat ones. A lot of their churches favour a neo-Romanesque style with rounded cupolas. It all adds flavour.

Best advice, short of a quick getaway holiday to Heraklion, would be to break out the Google maps and do a virtual tour of a few more remote villages. You can easily discern and discard the modern buildings.
