I hope to see some photos of what the rest of you guys are doing with Chaos in Carpathia and Chaos in Cairo.  Since the last post I've finished the vampire warband and am making some serious headway with my dungeon/crypt tiles and furniture.  I actually plan on playing the vampire warband tomorrow evening.

You're welcome  :D

Seriously though, you're going to have so much fun with it.

I'm looking forward to this!Love to see what you have done with a crypt. :)

Cheers
Christopher

The crypt is nothing fancy, just a set of floors (halls, rooms, etc...) that I've cut from some vinyl tiles.  However, they make for endless possibilities and the furniture I'm painting now really sets the whole thing off.

This photo shows the table we played and last night.  It was my first game using vampire and they were quite fun to play. I think that our next game will likely take place underground (maybe).

It's cool - I just hope for the vampires, they did not start on the far side of that creek (unless they have the ability to take on bat form)  ;)

I'm still picking away at various odds and ends, but I've almost finished painting up my Heroquest furniture.  Here's a photo of some of the vinyl tiles I'll be using for dungeons/crypts with some pieces of the furniture that are finished (and the good Dr. Grunberg for scale)

The dungeon tiles will create an infinite number of 2-D layout possibilities, and as I've done above, a couple of spare tiles can be held in place to represent walls for photos.

When the last few furniture details are finished I'll be rebasing all of my evergreen trees like I did for the graveyard trees some time ago.

Thanks again for the kind words,
JET

That Heroquest furniture shows up all over the place :D

Since the start of your CiC project I have had absolutely no recommendations to make as your stuff is absolutely brilliant.  I do however suggest that you take the time to run a suitabley coloured felt tip pen across the edges of the cardboard furbiture elements... but you were probably going to do that anyway :)

It did. A bunch of really nice closed doors and open doorways also came with the set.  When the furniture is painted I'll try and take some photos of some set-ups.

I wasn't, but now that you mention it, I think I should.

The Vampire warband is finally finished off and hitting the table.  The rest of the photos and background are here: http://geektactica.blogspot.com/2010/05/count-adolphus-von-brechtenstein-and.html

I've begun assembling my newly-acquired plastic ruins of osgiliath.  They are really nice, but the main piece was a little warped, so now I am wondering if I should base the darn things.  Anyway, things move apace.

Love this stuff, thanks very much for the inspiration. Are you using the Old Glory miniatures?

The miniatures are by Westwind, but I believe that Old Glory carries them. It's quite an extensive and excellent range.

Sometimes placing the warped piece in a bowl of very, very hot water and leaving it for a minute or two will allow you to reshape it.
