Egyptian Empire!

Rumors began circulating through the streets of Alexandria that a new unit was about to join Ra's Empire.  Prussian mercenaries. 

It is said they were named by him as "The Virgins of the Princess of Isis." 

Only time will tell...

Still a few things to finish... rifles, bases... flag.  So a bit more time before I have a really nice unit of infantry joining the Egyptians.  Hopefully, it won't take me too long.

The figures are, of course, from Hinterland Miniatures and are absolutely fantastic.  Really like them a lot and hopefully will be painting more!

The pirate flag comes from Warflag.com, which I printed and painted over.

The Royal Engineer and Master of Artillery has been training them for the last two weeks so no work has been accomplished on the Royal Egyptian Landship.  He has now been ordered back to the steel works and we should see some progress there soon.

As for the Egyptian Empire, their next unit will be Royal Lancers.  Royal regiments wear helmets, so these will be similar to the Household cavalry, except... they will be mounted on the Venus indigenous critter fondly referred to as a "Hopper."

Only have Ra, two regiments and the steam beetle so far.  I'll put a group photo together when I finish the Royal Lancers.

Actually, they look a bit better then my not so great photo and it is easy to achieve.

I paint the jacket Foundry Austrian White first.  This is an off grey but not to harsh to really jump out at you.  Then I take Vallejo White and paint the highlights.  Easy as that.

Comes out a treat.
