Dug through my box, well boxes, and discover a bunch of female Keltos barbarians, so I'll be doing those.

Got one team primed and another one purchased...8 more to go.
Sure, you announce this after I post a 22-figure squad of aliens...
You, sir, are not allowed to attempt a takeover of the solar system until your octopus sobers up.

Well, considering I bought over a hundred figures last month, I suppose I've no excuse not to enter. Looks like ten rounds of Old Glory Mahdists for me!  ::)
I told you so. You damned fools.

Excellent. You can never have enough Mahdists  ;)
(Different coloured patches every round though please)

Excellent! I missed out last time, and in addition to motivating me to paint, it will also motivate me to use the light tent I bought last year and actually photograph some models!

Cool!  I also never competed last time, although I did vote in a few rounds.

I'm just getting settled into the new house, but this could be a good excuse to unbox my painting stuff!

I've have made my choice  :D
I've have played those guys in the excellent "Age of conan" boardgame, the yellow pieces.

Kingdom of Turan is rising in barbaric splendor on the south-western shores of the great inland sea Vilayet.

Inhabited by the Hyrkanian race — dark and generally tall and slender.
Between the inland sea and the eastern borders of the native western kingdoms lie vast expanses of steppes and in the extreme north and extreme south, deserts.
Women wear veils. Silk is very common here, and it is worn by all classes of people from nobles and soldiers to commoners and slaves.
Slavery is very common in Turan. Some of the largest slave markets in all the world exist here.

Nice theme for me so I'll work on a slavers gang.
Have a nice day

All the best to everybody taking part, I'll look forward to seeing and voting on your entries.  :)

As much as I'd love to have my self esteem shattered by joining in, I (as ever) lack the time and discipline to compete. I know you can enter the same group in each round, but I'd want to do fresh ones for each, especially the bonus rounds.

Never gonna happen though.  :'(

Well, maybe if I knew what the bonus rounds were a year in advance, and willed myself to resist posting any images for twelve months... That might conceivably work.  ::)

Go on then, I'll have a go this time around.  :)

I could do with the motivation to get some painting done and wear the lead mountain down a bit.

a few questions-

I would like to enter the leage. How do I register?
Do I have to paint a different team for each round, or is taht just to get teh bonus points?
Do my five figured team have to be from a particular theme, or can they be anything I want as long as they are a team?
Theres more 28mm Superhero Madness at my blog, http://fourcoloursupers.blogspot.com/
And for Ultra-modern Wargaming check out Hotel Zugando at http://ultramoderngaming.blogspot.co.uk/

You don't have to "register". You just send in the picture (see the rules for more detail) in time for the deadline.

Mainly, it's sensible for the bonus point, but additionally, people might get "bored" of figures they see each week and thus vote for your opponent.

I'd say they have to follow a general line/theme, but you can of course mix manufacturers etc. A wild mix of figures is not what we had in mind, and people also tend to vote in favour of well-thought, coherent themes.

So any genre will do? The savage sword of conan is the first bonus round, but if I wanted to enter say, five cowboys, or five greys, is that OK? or does it have to be barbarians for the first round?

Yes, any genre will do. But no bonus points, only for a Conan entry. Just read the rules - http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=15868.0
