I would encourage you to check out the detailed example of play in the appendix of the Carpathia book.

The Vampires can be very tough, but you need to make sure you use a Holy Man to bless weapons and to support with True Faith. It's also important to remember that the Vamp only gets his re-rolls for DR against gunfire.

Also, your two slayers are formidable close-in fighters and should be able to take on the vamps if properly supported. Try some more games and let us know how it goes. Thanks for playing!

As a playtester, I can tell you the top-level vampires (and werewolves) are tough, but not unbeatable. As others mentioned, ganging up and holy men are key. As a Hammer film fan, it seems entirely appropriate to me.

You can always tweak a stat or two, but I'd advise playing a few games first. We played the heck out of this and, while we're not perfect, I think we got things pretty close.
