How are you enjoying the game, by the way? My own town and posses are slowly coming together, and I'm looking forward to introducing the game to the local gamers, so I'd love to hear what you think of it!

Well the game has taken off like wildfire at the club now. It started a couple of months ago with me suggesting the idea of an Old West project and a few mates jumped on board and we have gathered more players each week we have played the campaign (3 weeks so far).

I'm quite the fan of the fast game play of the LotOW system, but then I loved the LotR game as well so that makes sense. We have had games where the gangs walk up to each other and almost everyone is gunned down in a couple of turns and we have had other tense games where casualties are sparse but the fighting is fierce. Good times.

Sounds fantastic - the new models are pretty fantastic too. Beautiful shading - very smooth. Some time in the summer I should be able to introduce the game to the local club. I'd do it earlier, but we started to play Warmachine a few weeks ago, and it looks like that's going to be going on for a while!
Looking forward to more from this project!

The blending is perfect and the choice of dull tones is even better. These are the best examples of a possse that I´ve ever seen in 28mm.

I love the effect that you have got on the cowboy in the reddish brown coat.

The shading is really fantastic.  Very impressive  :-*

Wow, great painting! How long does it take you to blend those wonderful figures?

I agree with Cheetor, the reddish coat is awesome.

Very, very nice, I like the subtle shading on the coats. :)

Splendid. I just don't have the patience to try that level of blending, so my hat's very much off to you and your brushes.

How long does it take you to blend those wonderful figures?

I spent about 6-7 hours on these two and one other that I aborted half way through as I really hooned up the colours, far too bright.

The coat started off using Foundry's Conker Brown (the mid shade?) I added an off white colour in about 3-4 stages of highlighting. You can see on the front of the coat I wasn't all that fussed with perfect blending.

After that was done I just attacked it with several layers of watered down black, building up the layers of paint (which is obviously very transparent when watered down).

These are just, simply...great!  And it's not just your painting skill; your color choices are stellar.

I'm also trying to get my local group into LOTOW.  They're hesitant, which I find odd since they're (we're) all long time blood bowl players.  LOTOW isn't all that big of stretch from BB.

What do you use for the dry looking grass on these bases?  I'm working on an all female posse (Dare I make the joke?) for LOTOW and want to copy your basing as I am not at all creative.
This is my boomstick!

The bases...

These are the P3 colours I used...

Basecoat - Gun Corps Brown
1st drybrush - Hammerfall Khaki
2nd drybrish - Menoth White Base
final drybrush - Menoth White Highlight
Rims - Gun Corps Brown

The grass is Silflor Grass Tufts. I purchased mine from here but you might be able to pick them up in the states somewhere...
