Burma - Civilians

I'm looking for some civilians for the Burma. Do the Westwind Vietnam ones (s.pic) work for? Is there any other suitable?

Do they wear them coolie hats in Burma? I always thought they wore headscarves and  turban things with a tea-towel sort of pattern on them and that they all smoked massive cheroots.

But don't listen to me, as usual I don't really know what I'm talking about, it's just the impression I have.



Edit: I've changed my mind. I think they do have coolie hats there, but it wouldn't hurt to have some beturbaned cheroot-smokers to give a little local colour, and distinguish them from generic South East Asians.

(Off course, I'm only saying that because I'm not doing the project. There's no way I'd bother with that if I had to do it myself.   )

Both the plantation workers and the Westwind figures could work but they are missing the most typically Burnmese item of dress : the longyi, a skirt-like garment worn by men and women.



There was also a sizeable Indian population in British Burma so you could mix some of Eureka's Indian civilians.

Yes, but also I think that there is a large Chinese population, too. They could wear coolie hats, too.

Eureka has some dayak warriors, too, as well as Tiger some for their Dutvh colonial range. maybe  some headswaps can bring some more variety in your population's headgears.

The only problem you may run into is that these figures are quite tall.  On a relative basis the Europeans need to be 35mm or better.
