"I'm always interested in good colonial rules."

Then you will be interested in mine.  ;)

There is no figure scale. Units are sized to suit your table space/vision/budget. Figures are based in groups which might represent several different scales of formation according to your whim/situation/budget/interests. Ask Phil, he's played with them a lot and knows them as well as I do, plus he'll be more unbiased as he's not trying to sell them! :-I

All answers are correct so far  ;)

Sounds very intriguing!

Sweet!

(although when they have state of the art guns, instead of old, crappy muzzleloaders) how do I handle the "Ansar artillery blows up on a 1" firing rule  with a straight face?  I think the Mahdist player is gonna call me out on that one.  :?

Easy, although devout and fierce warriors, they are untrained and inexperienced in the use of these high-tech weapons. What could possibly go right?  lol

Ah!  Very good!  yes that will work.

Makes sense.  Hell, I have freinds in Arkansas that manage to hurt  themselves   a lot  just shooting mini-14's and shot guns!  One accidently shot himself with a bow and arrow once.  :o

I don't know how I got through 9 years in the army with all those grenades, machine guns and plastic explosive charges. Even a Stanley knife is too dangerous for me to use these days :(
