I'm sure a lot of the old grogs here remember SPI's Sorcerer.  It was a game you either loved or hated, and many considered it a flop, but there was no dneying that it involved one of the most fantastic universes ever conceived, with its planes of color, and its colorful demonic infantry, trolls, air dragons and enchanted fortresses.  And what about the vortexes?  Even modelling the glowing terrain itself would be a challenge.

Someone has to have attempted this at some point, how would you go about it?  Lots of candy-colored washes and metallics?  How would you simulate the unearthly glow of the other planes?

I have toyed with the idea over the years, and even thought to do some D&D conversion rules based on the setting, but have yet to really attempt it.

Maybe one of you fellows will inspire me.

Hmm.  With all of the skilled painters here, I'm surprised this one got no attention.  Or is that game just so old that no one remembers it?  Also, a lot of people had a love-hate relationship with Sorcerer.  I came out on the "love" side, though I found it annoying in some ways.

Oh well, at least I tried.  Maybe I'll paint up something that would work and post it.  ;)

Honestly I have never heard of this game before... But from what I've read it doesn't sound like my cup of tea. It sounds rather colorful yet for my taste too colorful.  ;)

It was definitely high fantasy, as in, they must have been high on something when they created it.  Still, it was a lot of fun.

I played it a lot as a teenager and tended to lose as I couldn't tell the difference between some of the hex colours, being red-green colour blind
