Hey no need to apologize- good on you for serving with the 82nd, a fine unit with an illustrious history!  If I get selected, I'll be going to the Marine Corps Officer Candidate School come January (not yet a Marine), so its always interesting to come across people in any of the services.  So thanks for your service to the country.

And as a side note, the Aliens have made the mistake of landing near Camp Pendleton so maybe next time they'll head for North Carolina and make the mistake of getting near to Fort Bragg

Machines?
Humanoids in power armor?
Insects?
Silicon based life?

Power armor of some kind in any case, also orbiting missiles, which are a bit out there but not all that extreme. (they could be orbiting lasers) For a advanced alien race they seem quite low tech to me. Which of course makes it a better war movie.

What I find to be most cool is that the 'first' Battle of Los Angeles in WWII was a cover story for a mass ufo sighting that occurred.

I think the aliens look like "tech-organic". Just watch the final part, with the alien "ship"? rising out of the debris. It looks like it absorbed part of those debris...

Anyway...looking at my miniatures, I'll use both Therians from AT-43



and Marro from Heroscape:


Maybe they'll be 2 races...or unarmored and armored elements of the same species. What do you guys think?

You can say what you want about alien invasion movies, no matter how bad they are, they´ll promise a lot of thrill and action and I will definitely watch this one too. Hurrah!!!
