A alien squad is advancing, in the middle there's some sort of flying support weapon. In the next scene in the trailer, it flies and launches a swarm of missiles.

The lastest trailer was mind blowing, i remember the trailers for starship troops and seening aliens what was not a guy in a rubber suit.....

Watching the trailer my thoughts on the invasion and aliens ( information is from my thoughts and the trailer only no inside info etc )

1. Aliens land in water only in drop drops
2. I have a feeling its based around water, landing in it, some borg like egg thing in undeground water area
3. Aliens legs and arms are robotic, but with a large head or helmet
4. If it was a power stuit, the alien would be in all the suit, as i talked about arms and legs, maybe the Alien is very small
5. If a robot race, why land in water etc..?

So here is my own thoughts...

Aliens are a small underwater type race, maybe here for our water, maybe theres is nearly out, so they build the suits and craft to find planets with water in.

As i was saying, Aliens come in drop pods, break hard, thats the smoke ring and land in water, the Aliens are like " Goldfish" meaning they live inside the large helmet and control the suit etc, that seems new for a movie and different in places.... but its about the water....?   

Trailer looks amazing, ad i cannot wait to see this grittly invasion film, the questions is do the human win..? does the aliens just leave in the end, can the human race really fight them like in ID4, or a ending like skyline and people may not like the bleak ending....

Time will tell let all get ready to fight for the planet.......

Thats as good a guess as any, I just cant wait to see the film. Being a former Infantry man myself, it seems to be more along the vain of what I am used to when it comes to conflect.
That up in the air stuff is for the birds..

We see a lot of the aliens in the new trailer, and it is good to see they don't disappoint!

What is happening in the final bit though, Looks bad!

The movie looks cool and I will see it for sure.

Just luv this kind of Sci Fi...

All will be revealed in the movie, I am sure, but I interpreted the water landings as an alien amphibious assault.

Its no surprise to see an increase in alien movies. Ever since Space experts stated we may discover or make contact with aliens within 25 years, and Steven Hawkings said that broadcasting ourselves into the universe may be a dangerous thing to do in case of hostile aliens, this sort of thing has been brought back onto the market.

Although I do remember having some debates with a science freak over alien life, and he stated that it would be easier for aliens to take resources from gas giants etc etc than invade a planet like ours xD.

Though he never really considered Imperial conquest or just warlike cultures! Which would be hilarious if such a thing did happen to exist and pick a fight with humanity.

I  do like the look of this film, been ages since anything looked decent was advertised. The only other film I have an interest in is 'monsters' but that film has been really elusive lately.
