Excellent Scenery piece, however I thought those worms were natives of Saturn:
lol

I knew I had seen something to inspire me from somewhere  :D

@Gamer Mac - No, this one is 'neff access only' I'm afraid  lol Now you come to mention it, some sort of ramp or stairs hewn into the rock would be a good idea for the next one. It could be good for an artillery emplacement or some such  :)

cheers

The next installment beckons...

Cavalry. Only a unit of ten for now. I used the Foundry 'Oriental Flesh' paint set on them but I'm not wholly convinced as of yet  :?

The whole unit

Close up of the command section

And Captain Hokusai. I'm really pleased with his sleeve detail but I think the blue coats could do with another highlight  :?

Oh, I really hate painting horses but some of these turned out OK, the addition of socks and muzzle flashes helped a lot. They still need a banner... Might do it this weekend...

cheers

From a man who said I had too much time on my hands!!

I think these actually look better in blue than the miriad of khakis usually on show. If only there were more "proper" Nips for this period other than the OG and Redoubt ones (dont even think of mentioning the watchyamacallit ones)

Bloody lovely chap and the bases are great too
