Well, the train kit turned up but it's shite

Badly molded, wonky and ill fitting parts so what I'm going to do is make my own. I have the kit for reference and some of the parts are useable it's just a bit annoying, so that's gone by the wayside for a short while

What I have done is finished the defense platform and nearly finished the armoured gun boat. I've also started on a torpedo boat and a few other things that will posted at a later date (large things!).

First off, the defense platform. The only thing to be added is a flag. The crew are from my Boxer Rebellion range

Then we have the armoured gunboat. Wings to paint and a ships wheel is needed.

And then we have the start of the torpedo boat. Different in design to a normal Japanese neff but it seemed right at the time. I'm sure it'll fit once it's painted.

A little torpedo that goes with it (soon to be cast and available on the website with a whole host of other VSF goodies

).

And finally for today, a neff hanger. Very much WIP but you get the idea...

In a week or three I'll get everything together on the Mars terrain boards so the overall picture is apparent

Is the hatch on the top going to be one of your new items?
What is the hanger going to be covered in?

That paticular hatch isn't but I do have one almost done, just need go get the hatch opening wheel sorted.

The hanger will have a glass and iron roof with brick walls. I'm still thinking on the ends, whether to leave them open or have some sort of something there

Hmm...I would have to fly to England, but it may be worth it.
