Acetatate painted one side red. Put 'em shiny side up, and they look like blood. It helps I work for a large design studio, so the stuff is just laying around.

Everything. The rules, the figures, the town, all grew out of an incident at a convention. A guy had a huge Old West set up. I got there too late to play, but watched on and off instead. I asked the guy running it if I could look at the rules sheet, just to better understand what was going on. He sneered at me, and said "If you wanted to know how to play, you should have got here earlier."
Eff you buddy. I walked over to vendor selling Dixon Cowboys (at the time, the only manufacturer available. They survive now as the Dixon Gang). I went home and started writing rules and making a town.

Good on ya. !

reckon i'd have replied with BAM!

"if ya wanted to stay pretty faced and not bleeding ya shouldn't have spoke
to me that way bud.."

but then again I'm a thick headed country boy and i think your response was better in the long run..

Lovely stuff  :D

I am in the process of building a western town at the moment, so this is good inspiration.

Hi

I was at Claymore in edinburgh recently and would just like to say that i also enquired about the rules and buildings on a Wild West skirmish that was being run .

The bloke couldnt have been more hepfull . Spent a good 30 mins explaining how he had adapted a couple of rule sets . Gave me a step by step on how he built his town using balsa . He even went over to a near by stall and brought back a couple of sets of rules I may want to look at .

This is what this hobby needs rather than a bunch of high handed pricks like you met . Yeah BAM i say too

BTW great looking town . Got about 24 figs up and ready to go this is just the inspiration I need to get Dryride up and running

Thanks

I highly recommend "fistful of Lead", and not because I wrote them. Only $6 for a pdf. Not for a campaign, but works conventions and quick throw downs.

We had t-shirts. No booth girls. Jaye hosted a great weekend of events.

Its always fun to get the Generals together.
