I used Tamiya Dark Yellow (XF60) for the basic colour, the other colours being mostly cheap artist acrylics.
I now that's not much help but I only tend to use "Branded" paints for specific military colours ( Vallejo/Tamiya) and cheap artist acrylics for most other stuff!

I use cheap acrylics for some colours too (especially black and white).
Never used Tamiya paints though; might give them a try.

and speaking about the warzone... I've just gotten the idea: using converted battlesuit as dark legion's beasts... can't remember if there was any possessed vehicle in warzone game :

Warzone had some pretty interesting minis for conversion. I'm currently trying to find an Imperial Hurricane mini for a British War Walker.

Doesn't Prince August carry them? They seem to have taken over most of the old Warzone and Chronopia ranges. I placed an order with them for the Vulkans.

EDIT: They don't list them, but since they are adding more figures on a regular basis, you could e-mail them to find out if they have it?

as they said above, Prince August in Ireland is the best supplier.
All the prices are in Euros so they are not as expensive as they first seem.
Postage costs are reasonable aswell. They have got a minimum order ammount of 20 Euro ( about £14.00).

Can't argue that they are cool minis to paint!
I've stopped at 6 ( I'm working on some Allied stuff at the moment to try to balance things up!!!)
