I thought about it:
models in battlegroup would be more-less similar looking and let's be honest:
smurf blue is not the best color for semai's scythe operator

The Stalkers do look really cool in pale blue , working to almost white highlights.

I have a force of Mishima, Imperial Trenchers (about 40 - 12 painted), Bauhaus (about 40 - none painted) and a few odd minis (Brotherhood, Lutherans, Wolfbanes etc). I will post some pictures in the next few days.

Original Target minis from Prince August:

Here is the new game. It looks like Heroclix (meaning it looks like %$*@) :( :

Mutant Chronicles 54mm "collectable" mini game, released Sept 07:

Some minis:

Ahhh Warzone! Is it really back?  whoohoo flying sharks! Great of you guys to get us to dive into the old boxes and get out the good old (too long ignored) minis!

I always loved the system, the possibility to spend action points instead of these boring "you move your whole army, shoot and then I move my whole army, shoot etc"-systems. Sadly it never really took off. I played the last edition and must say it was great. I always found the minis were a little bit on the "chunky" side, but some of them are just cool (remember the great Bauhaus walkers) it has a cool retro SF feel!

I am a little bit scared of the movie, it looks like a horror movie and there have been lots of "cheap" SciFi horror movies (shudder) and from experience movies seldom transport the real feel of the game background (did I get it right it is not on the moon, but IN the earth? I can see dark scenes in dark corridors with lots of flashing gunfire and screaming people you can't see (yawn!)
(btw ever watched D&D2 ...argh can it actually get worse?)
So I am very pessimistic...

Tip:
I used some plastic Bauhaus troopers for BoB-ish games, cut off the shoulder pads, replaced the huge guns and bingo: German WWI soldier with gas mask....well probably more for a pulp setting, but hey they look cool

Heretic! Burn him!

The minis would have looked fantastic, really great paint job, but the ruin from the game that should not be named...arghl...

I mean you are not allowed to use other miniatures in THEIR games...so..!?

gw ruins or not - we all know who's tha main star of those pics:
WARZONE STUFF!!! 8)

and as You mentioned mixing different producers' stuff...
although warzone stuff is great in pure form I can't resist considering adding some bitz to some of my troopers to create cursed legionairees squad: they're elita after all and no matter what is my personal opinion about gw - they produced lots of great parts, perfect got conversions of any sort!

finally managed to get pics of (repainted once again...) pretorian stalker :)
although I didn't manage to field it during last battle (the forces were only 350pts per side and I didn't have second stalker painted nor based ^^ ) I will field the bastarn on next battle no matter what!
here's the first set of pics I made but I'll be grateful for constructive criticism:
maybe You can see sth worthy repainting? :)

Arrrghhh! I've been found out!!!!!
Yes I admit it, in the past I have made purchases from the "Company that shall not be named!!!!". I was weak and the scenery was good............

I've never bothered much about mixing minis from different manufacturers but I do remember a friend who had a contact at GW getting some Necromunda minis before their official release. He painted them and took them to his local GW run club and tried to use them. He was told that even though they were official minis, because they weren't released yet he couldn't use them!!! :freak:  TOTALLY SAD!!!!!

Any how I don't see a problem with a company that insists that you only use their minis and re-write the rules every five minutes as an excuse to raise the prices of the latest "New" improved army. Wish I'd thought of it!!!!

I really liked your comment

" I was weak and the scenery was good...."
but shouldn't it be
"I was young and needed the money.."
no! wait the other way round...
"I was young and had way too much money!"

Btw talking about this "company":
Yesterday I wanted to buy some bases for my new Copplestone Russians (oooh now I said it, I bought some stuff there too...shame on me, I admit it I actually went into their store    )
but you can't get bases here in Australia anymore. They don't ship it down to us anymore. We now would have to order the bases in England. Good idea. You pay the full price + shipping so they save on the logistics part and the customer covers that. Better profit for them...

Any idea where to get bases? I am through with this company for good now, there is nothing left that I would like to buy. :x

D.

PS yeah maybe I go and buy an $800 box of Plastic space marines, is anybody actually going to buy this????
 :?:

PS2  :o
I really like the paint jobs! Great! I always thought the mini looked crap, but it was my painting skill! Your's look fantastic!!! Again it proves, a great paint job makes even an average mini look cool!
Very well done!!

thanx!
I had similar problem: warzone was my first game -> painting on it was mostly hell crappy BUT after getting some experience in hobby I started appreciating deeply these models;
yes - some of them are clumsy, ugly etc but they have move character in themselves than 80% of plastic marines from ye ckompanyyy thay shouuuldn't beee

as for getting bases why don't You get them from em4? You'll have to pay shipping costs as well but at least Your money won't get into wrong hands :D
