Ladies and gents, (even Hammers
), thank you all so much for your support and friendship in this time. Means a lot to me. I am getting back to normal, but it's a day to day sort of thing. Needless to say, I was at a memorial service for friend who passed earlier this year just yesterday, and I was at a loss for words, especially since his daughter (in her late twenties, so almost my age) was also there. Can't exactly tell somebody that it'll "all be better very soon". It's always too soon and you're always too young to lose a parent, be you 33 or 66.
I have been trying to distract myself with pleasant thoughts and painting. It's amazing how much painting I've got done in the last month, because I've had a lot of time to think, and would prefer to be thinking about games, friends, etc. So, I guess the positive thing out of this is that I'm chipping away at the ol' lead pile.
