Tempted as they give a free postage and package status to the order and any other bits you order. Looks very nice and shiney but anyone played the rules?

I own teh TRWNN, but haven't played them.  To me, LotOW looks to be more fun. This set I have played and like quite a bit.

Do you have a link? (Assuming these are the wild west version of the LOTR rules?)

Its a matter of taste...

If you like GW games go for LotoW. Its the same old soup only in a different soup bowl.

The  Rules with no name  are more innovative.

But if you don t like initiative by cards they are not yours.

TRWNN are a blast! Easy to learn, fast play, and a very satisfying feel for cinematic cowboys games. My kid brother and I were playing one Christmas, and my mom, of all people, wanted to join in! 5 mins of insrtruction, and she was up and running.

That's what drew me to them in the first place, (£5 off and on postage charge which slices £8 off the deal, enough for another pack! :D

Thanks all, emails there under my avatar so feel free to send me the pdf.

Would recommend TRwNN if you like a game that can be picked up in 5 minutes, has random activation and you have a bucketload of dice (at optimum range a legend who has aimed with a repeating rifle gets 12 D6 I think)

I recently got a copy from Amazon.  It was under 38 bucks including shipping.

Gorgeous book.  I think it was worth it and look forward to playing.

I have both LoTOW and TRWNN and enjoy both of them. We have used “Legends” for playing a long running campaign game and TRWNN for one off games.

I have also got a couple of other rule sets, although I haven’t had a chance to game with them yet. The one set was free in the Aug/Sept 2007 edition of “Battlegames” which is based on card activated initiative similar to TRWNN and the other is a set from Over the Wire Games which only uses playing cards for all actions.

As an aside, Ian Barlow wrote a load of articles in WI some years ago about skirmishing the Wild West Movies – some useful scenario ideas?
