Some sculpting for my Super Hero, feedback needed!

Hello gang.

I have recently been browsing the rules for SuperSystem. I have always wanted to convert the figure I'm about to show you, and these rules gave me a bit of inspiration as to how I wanted him to look.

Firstly, the original figure (it's the one in the middle):


And my conversion to... The Incredible Bulk:




So, it's not perfect... I struggled to get the hands right. His left one is better formed than his right. Any tips?

I am itching to get him painted, but first is his base... I just need to figure out how to produce small craters where his feet are!

He has "Increased Density", although I was going to give him "Massive" which I still may. I also gave him "Super Leap" which is a little scary... more on that when he's finished

Re: Depressions on the base, are we talking about the ground/pavement cracking beneath his weight, or about some kind of high-gravity compressed earth type of effect? What substance do you want him to be standing on in the first place?

Minis are by Mongoose Publishing, part of their Judge Dredd Miniatures range.

Great use of the model! I love the model anyway, but your conversion is excellent too! The incredible Bulk eh!

My sister was always called the 'Incredible Sulk' by my family...

Can't wait to see him painted.

The figure is indeed from Mongoose, and he is huuuuuuuuge. Maybe 40mm but I'll post up a comparison. He dwarfs the larger Foundry Street Violence figures if that's any indication

I'm hoping to have him on a base of concrete that he has just landed on and he's cracked.

I did a bit of fiddling around with some styrene so I'll see how that turns out. But if anyone has any ideas about reproducing cracked concrete I'll be happy to hear it.

He's just going to be used for generic superhero battles, not Judge Dredd.

Hmmmm... You should be able to make a thin disk with spackle (inside the round-lipped display base), then when it's dry, tip out the disk and gently crack it with a small hammer, then simply glue the cracked pieces back into place inside the display base. Cheap spackling compounds and/or other fillers should be readily available at your local hardware or home-improvement store.

Now there's a thought! Or even a tiny amount of plaster... but I think spackle would be best.
