I look forward to seeing how you all paint these guys.  I'd have to send them off with a fat check somewhere so someone else would do it; I have neither the patience nor talent to do them justice.

But please, Ratnik, keep sculpting stuff like these.  They're lovely to look at even if they don't ever get painted!

OOooo Neotacha is always very critical of how miniatures of flautists hold their flute - stand by!

I think both musicians look great.

Two very minor quibbles on that flute.  First, the flute should be going off to his right, with his left arm crossing over his chest.  His right should be a bit farther down the flute, with a greater gap between.  Or lop off a bit of the body below his right hand, and make it a piccolo.

Although, a quick search does show that yes, there are left-handed flutes, so I suppose it's good, once that left hand moves just a bit down the flute.  Early, key-less flutes would be ambidextrous, I suppose.

Thank you for putting his hands in the right position to actually hold and control his flute.  I never understood the people who put both hands pointing toward the shoulder.  Not only would you be apt to drop the thing, but the lower shoulder would be in agony after a fairly short bout of playing.

I will probably have to get the flautist.  And I love the way the pants and boots wrinkle on the back parts of the legs of that drummer!

I do not doubt that there are/were simple, not flamed blades for bihanders
In miniatures there is always the risk that such blade comes out to flat, especially if done without blood groves or midrib.
But it is ok for me, i can try to rasp the (imo only) surplus away.

Hi,
no doubt - that will be the best series of Landsknechts on the market. The guy with the flute is the best for me - so far.

I'm looking forward to buy them as soon as they will be available. They will bring me back to an old and always loved project.

Thank you, thank you, thank you verry very much.

Ciao
