Nice work both! I really like the banners though I don't get the reference (if there is any). The Blood Angels are nice too, but of course the wrong colour to compete as an entry based on the movie "Ultramarines" ;) Good job to you both!
Let me hear the battle cry
Calling on the wind
Let me see the banners fly
Before the storm begins

It's Shakespeare - Henry V. Henry rousing the English army before the Battle of Agincourt - rather famous movie versions with both Sir Laurence Olivier and Kenneth Branagh...
But it's probably more of an English fixation  ;)

Ah yes, I borrowed that movie from Raz once, it was good but I don't remember it in such detail 8)

Sorry, I thought that a certain US mini series may have caused confusion if I'd used the better recognised 'band of brothers' part of the quote  o_o

Here's part of Shakespear's text and link to the scene in question:

Quote
This story shall the good man teach his son;
And Crispin Crispian shall ne'er go by,

From this day to the ending of the world,

But we in it shall be remembered-

We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;

For he to-day that sheds his blood with me

Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile,

This day shall gentle his condition;

And gentlemen in England now-a-bed

Shall think themselves accurs'd they were not here,

And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks

That fought with us upon Saint Crispin's day.

Not a exact replication, but I hope my effort gets the feel of the scene  :)

Ain't Brannagh(sp?) the BEST Shakespearian ever?
I  (IMHO) think his Henry V, Hamlet and As you Like it are the best ever done. (on film anyway.)

Has anybody over there been to the new Globe yet?

If "Band of Brothers" was misinterpreted as a WW2 reference then I'd be amused to know what would have been expected if the entry was called "We Happy Few?"

Parriah - There are many who would swear blind that Laurence Oliver is still the best Henry V - but I too like the whole Ken Brannagh film - especially the music.  If you havn't seen his 'Much ado about Nothing' on DVD then that is worth a view - for a young Kate Beckinsale if nothing else.  The new Globe is most impressive and highly recommended if you are ever in London.
