You have painted more in a single month than I can manage in six.  They look superb I must say (as ever).  If I were a wandering adventurer I certainly wouldn't want to venture into your dungeon (or wait until I was at least level 10 before I did)!  Can't wait to see some action shots with the DF stuff.

Thanks! I don't mean to mislead... I FINISHED these in Jan but started most months before... I did do an awful lot in Dec in Jan, though (in part because of holiday vacation)... these actually aren't all I finished, and I have quite a bit WIP too. :)  In the last few months, though, don't have hardly anything done to show.  :`

Now, without more ado...

1st level and hoping to one day be dungeon dick-kickers--or at least see level 2... I give you the the party in my current AD&D campaign.

Just gonna dump the pics and names here. For exhaustive figure metadata, etc. find it on the blog post or on flickr. Even more about the characters is on this other post along with sketches drawn by my players.

And a guest painter in the mix today. The magic-user Twiss was painted by the player. It's his third one--not half bad, eh? He's got some halfings and gnomes in the works too.

Oh, and some of these are reposts...forgive me as I wanted to show them off together.

Great looking group of characters.  Always good to see your updates here or on the blog.

I'm currently (re)painting that same Dwarf thief figure so it's cool to see what you did with yours.
So many games, so little time.

Nice painting, as always.  :-*
It's nice to see you "saving" these old minis.

By the way, I looked on evilbay for old school miniatures the other day. A lot of them are going for big bucks!  :o

Thanks all!

Well done!

Yeah, what I'd do for more free time! At least no homework anymore.

A slightly foppish Dwarf- Wonderful!

Thanks! I love these dandy dwarves--glad you like them too! I see them as dwarfs away from the mountains who have mingled with humans too long. I think you've got a similar thing going on in 2ed AD&D... hill dwarves.

I'm currently (re)painting that same Dwarf thief figure so it's cool to see what you did with yours.
And another fan of the sculpt, even better, can't wait to see! :)

Really? Keep looking... really rough estimate I tend to spend 1/5 to 1/2 (that's 50-80% less) per figure than street price for new 28mm figs, and the average is way toward the 1/5 end. There are a few that go for a lot but the collectability of the figure doesn't at all match up with the quality of it.

Hmmm, maybe I gave up too quickly!  :-[

I really like what you (and a few others) are doing with these old minis.

I look forward to your updates.  :-*

That reminds me; I've recently been involved in redecoration and a massive de-clutter, and one little treasure that came to light in the spare room was the missing treasure-chest from my old BDD adventurers set.  I've had to plug some gaps in the collection from ebay (actually, most of them if I'm honest), but on the upside I also now have a spare wizard!

Which is fine as it happens, as he was always my favourite from the set.
