Aye, the mantic zombies are perhaps the only readily available ones which will fit a historical game.

They are a good price, and easy to assemble and paint. I would very much recommend them- I have just finished painting 60 of the little green blighter.

Although I am desperately eager to break into this genre, my time of late has been so stretched that I've had to hold off for a while. Pike and Shot and Zombies was the rules that grabbed my attention initially, along with Stu's excellent blog and AAR's of his Elizabethan zombie game. I bought P&S&Z and after reading through them, I determined that although they seemed solid, they weren't really what I was after. My biggest gripe is that I wanted more "survivors" and it seemed that P&S&Z catered to a small amount of individuals against hordes of undead. As I was determined to do some 18th century horror games, I really wanted larger groups of musket armed heroes and so I think P&S&Z isn't for me.

But I do agree on the Mantic zombies - they are great - and so are their ghouls too. They come together into some great poses and paint up very easily.

They are cool...  lol  ;)

Variations on the flesh palette is always a joy to behold. I may borrow that idea for some ice-waste undead in Age of Blood, when I get around to painting some vikings...

Well, I gotta say I really loved this game.
I gotta thank Skrapwelder for putting on a good campaign we finished not too long ago.
it was a hoot with Black Cavalier and Lead Fool.  Good times all around.

I'm looking forward to the next campaign!
