Plasticville and K-line
« on: 22 August 2011, 07:31:11 AM »
Don't remember if this has been brought up, but can somebody please point me to a good supplier of Plasticville and K-Line O-scale (that's the scale for 25/28mm, right?) stuff - preferably east of the Atlantic, but....
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!

I have spend quite some time searching for K-Line in Europe, but to no avail. Which is very sad since they complement platicville nicely and even have a few buildings that work even well in a bit more industrialised setting, instead of the rural/suburban setting that is Plasticville.

I did contact one shop in the us once and they were willing to ship to europe.

you can see their K-line/lionel buildings over here:

Thanks!

Sources for Plasticville, there; I'll look into those  :)

Those appartments are calling out to me for some (former) residential areas of a zombie-infested city....  ;)

Thanks, lui and Brax, too!

I am getting 3+ people into Dead Walk Again at my (almost) local club, so I really need to stock up on my modern cityscape stuff (I use Worldworks Streets of Mayhem with some Worldworks and Microtactix buildings, but time is very limited, and I need to expand on my ground tiles AND paint some more zeds, so no time for making more houses just now. Old wallet will have to stand in for that...  ::)

Nope, they have HO too.
Be careful what you buy.
Another channel for those builfings is E-bay.
managed to get a couple real cheap last month. P&P is a b|+ch though since all the sellers are in the US  :-[

I had a vague suspicion about that...  :)

Yes, I'm always scanning ebay before ordering something, but if I need something here and now, I mostly go for a 'But it Now' or a 'regular' webshop.

A sad tale...I have just had to let my ex throw all my Plasticville buildings out (20 in total) as she is clearing the house to put up for sale and I am 300 miles away and it would cost £160 just to pick them up :'(

No possibility of getting a friendly LAFer from the vicinity to pick them up, Lowtardog? Seem to remember you're an exile (like me) so I'm no use, but what about some of NE chaps on the Interwar boards? There's a VBCW contingent from Wylam or somewhere near there...

...or are we just too late?

Sadly they are in Buckinghamshire and no doubt smashed up in a skip :( I have relocated back up to the North East now and managed to save most of my stuff but those and a shed load of trees ended up in the skip :'(
