Avengers Assembled! Now with added muscle!
« on: August 23, 2011, 01:25:27 AM »
Club chum and all round money bags Swiss Tony commissioned me to sculpt and paint him a set of Avengers for our games of Supersystem down at the club. After finally nailing down a group that he felt could be represented at 85 points each I got to work. Now that they've been delivered I can show them off a bit.

Captain America

Vision

Black Panther

Hawkeye

Iron Man

The Avengers, assembled.

Sorry the pics are so massive but paint in Windows 7 is different to paint in Vista and I'm still trying to get my hear around such simple tasks as resizing and colour correction...

And here's a taster of what they looked like before paint.

Excelsior!

Looking pretty darn sweet there Soapy. Wouldn't have minded a set of them in my stables. What scale? I am assuming 28mm. :-)

Very sharp! Love me some Cap America!
I am looking for the following Deadlands minis:  Shotgun Thug, Lost Soul, Cleaners, Railroad Workers & Feral Dead. If you have any of these minis, or if you are one, please send me a PM.

Or what passes for 28mm in this day and age, there or there abouts... ::)

Ctrl + W in Paint normally opens up all resize tabs, no matter which edition of Paint

I really like those models, especcially the dynamics of the Black Panther and the whole look of Iron man

Love them all, but miraculous that you did 3 of my 7 favourite Avengers (Cap, Hawkeye and Vision - Black Panther runs them very close!); just need Scarlet Witch, Wonder Man, Captain Marvel/Photon/Monica Rambeau and Dr Druid to create what would be my perfect Avengers team.

Great stuff. :)

Awesome minis! It's nice to see some different members of the team in lead.

Okay then.

Cap was given a bit more bulk (through the torso and in the gentleman's area) after this shot was taken but otherwise this is them ready to paint.

Thanks, Soapy! :o

Some quality work there.
Very inspirational.
What models/armatures did you use as a basis for them?

They are based on some of my stock dollies with a bit of creative chopping and repositioning here and there.

Cheers,
Soaps.
