It'd be hard to give him more justice that you have here! One of my favorites from your collection. I lucked out on a casting of him myself this year in a random ebay lot. Slowly but surely assembling a deadly team of Goodwin ogres.

My fellow's the leader for a bunch of Bob Olley trolls.  :D

Finally painted something again. These photos are kind of crap though.

I can identify with photos that don't show off the minis to advantage. Despite that, the Warrior Babes look TERRIFIC...EXCELLENT brushwork, especially their expressive faces. I usually tend to be a basing fanatic, but I rather like the game piece style you use. It's like the Gods of War have placed their Heroes on bases to more easily manipulate their lives. VERY WELL DONE!

By the way, who makes the Babes?

Thanks!

The first one is a promotional figure from Hell Dorado (La Voyaguese, 1635 edition), the second one is a Privateer Press Warmachine mercenary figure (Alexia Ciannor, the Witchfire).

All of my figures are actually figure swaps for an old game called Mage Knight (the original tabletop game, not the recent boardgame), that use a clix dial for all stats. Mage Knight was more of a conventional wargame though (you use a regular gaming table, rather than a grid like Heroclix). Hence the funny-looking bases.

Tried to take a page out of Captain Blood's book for this fellow (i.e. he's quite bright and colourful by my standards, intentionally so).

I really like the light blue stripe effect you have going on the barding.

In fact, I have admired this thread for a while, coming back a few times and not commented on it.
How remiss of me.

I have to admit I was starting to wonder if I was doing anything wrong!

No worries, no harm, no foul. Thanks for all the kind words folks!  :D

One of the little tricks I learned over the years is to make sure the figure is always looking somewhere in particular... as opposed to staring vacantly off into space as I normally do myself.  ;D

Picked up this surgeon/assistant pair, many years ago.

I used the surgeon to replace an ugly generic vampire cleric, who is the top healer for my game's "not-Vampire-Counts" faction, but had no suitable figure to use for the skeletal flunky. I decided to make a custom figure (dial & stats), which I do from time to time, naming him Baldric.  :D

These were very fun figures to paint. I really like the way they turned out.
