Thankee kindly, mister.  :D

The Beasty Guys really turned out TERRIFIC. These are some of the nicest pieces I've seen you do. The brushwork & color choices are OUTSTANDING...I love the Shaman's patchwork cloak. VERY WELL DONE!

Thanks Nala! For the record,

I painted all their eyes, but you can't really see that in the photos. Oh well.

I'm sure that there are geekier things than a sci-fi samurai elf chick wargaming figure... but I sure can't think of any right now.

I really tried to push myself further with this one. Partially because it's such a cool figure, but also because it was a special issue sold to raise money for Jim Ludwig of Dark Sword Miniatures, after his newborn daughter died suddenly.

I even hand-painted the gilt base markings (in Mage Knight, LE tournament prize figures had gilt lettering rather than regular white. This was a custom figure, but I felt like being cheeky).   ;D

I also found out that the new best place to take photos in my apartment is up on a high shelf in my room in a particular spot.

You reached a new level in brushmanship...I like the way that sounds. The cloak is FANTASTIC & her face is LOVELY. VERY WELL DONE!

Many thanks too all three of you!  :D

If anyone's interested, the cloak medallion is sort of based on the star medallion of Japan's Order of the Sacred Treasure: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Order_of_the_Sacred_Treasure mainly because I thought it looked really great.

I simplified it a little so that it would be easier for me to paint.
