Fantastic work!!!!
I love the stripes and checks. Truely great brush work.
Below is a link to my blog. It's the place where I write uninteresting things about little toy soldiers. I do this because I refuse to grow up and behave like an adult.

Thanks all - I was quite pleased with them.
The secret is not really in the painting though. They're all really great, characterful figures, and I went to some lengths to get my hands on at least three of them, kindly assisted by the generosity of fellow LAFers Admiral Benbow and Aircav.
With figures this good, the painting is an absolute pleasure, and seems to just flow from the tip of the brush :)

What is the backdrop building?

It's a Victorian warehouse / factory handmade by TM Terrain, which I borrowed from Malamute's extensive collection of Victorian buildings (he has a whole town you know  ;))

All been said before.......
Excellent brush work and a good eye for minis.  :-*  :-* :-*
You bang on about subject matter. I find it easier to paint minis that I love.

With the current subdued colors & limited palette chic, it's a joy to see such vivid color choices, & brightly colored attire. The BEAUTIFUL bases only add to the overall WONDERFUL effect. I find your pieces to be inspiring. VERY WELL DONE!

Another vote here for "amazing!".  As has been said it's the patterns that I really like here.  Dr. Watson's checkered suit is incredible, but also the other guy's striped trousers.  It's so hard to give a patterned fabric enough depth without obscuring the pattern itself.

Greetings

I loved them before.
That hasn't changed at all. What amazes me the most is the vibrancy of the colors. This is such a joy to look at. :-*

Thank you for the close-ups.
