It maybe the existing floor, sides and wheels from the wagon with plastic drapes to attach to the sides?
Liking the soldiers taking mass before the fight - handy there are a separate pack too.

I am surprised the Malamute, Bibbly et al havent pounced on them for Robin Hood type scenarios ;)

To be honest I didn't even think of it, but I have now, and will have to buy some, thanks  >:( lol

The sides of the carroccio look like supersculpy or some such  ???

cheers

James

I guess it may not be the best week to release Italians (for hardened English footie fans  :(), but these greens compliment the recent EA Range releases and look great.  :-*
Love the skirmishing poses - my early favourite is the crossbowman spanning with the goat's foot lever. I aim to use these as combined xbow and shot unit (perhaps with some easy headswaps for my Burgundians - plenty were employed from Italy).

Is there a penalty for doing that?

Oh, so they finally do some light swordsmen and they're bloody Italians!  :-[  lol

They are very nice though, and the handgunners are sweet as...  :-*

I like the crossbowmen and handgunners.  I can see my Swiss and Burgundian project getting even bigger :-).

The handgunner on the right looks like a later modern soldier pose. Didn't realise italien shields were that big...

Aye! I would be reluctant to use the Foundry figures, even if there were no alternatives. But with these lovely Perry figures from Perry the Foundry figures become as good as useless.

I wonder if they might do Machiavelli in the character sets they've been coming out with?

Just recieved my 'Battlegames' mag and the Perry advert has codes for the new Italians from the EA Range, including a new pack - Mounted crossbowmen!!  :)

Slightly different pack contents here - 6 mounted riders in the box  - and need to purchase 2 plastic horse sprues (those from the MAA box) which are now going to be a coded item to buy individually.

The Carroccio is available as a full set (wagon, oxen and figures) or all components can be purchased as separate codes for a 'mix and match'.

Hope these will all be up on the PM site to purchase very soon.

Dear Simon

Re "Mounted crossbowmen - 6 mounted riders in the box  - and need to purchase 2 plastic horse sprues"

I am pleased that these are coming out.   The idea of 6 metal riders and two horse sprues is very logical.

Do you know what they look like?  Could they be used as Swiss?

Do you know the prices for the new items?

Mick

Mick
I can do you a quick run down of codes and prices from the advert:
EA15 - Carroccio (full set) £25
EA16 - Carroccio (wagon only) £10.50
EA17 - comparisoned oxen £8
EA18 - Carroccio figures £6.50
EA19 - italian infantry sword & shields £6.50
EA20 - italian crossbowmen £6.50
EA21 - italian handgunners £6.50
EA22 - italian mounted crossbowmen (6 riders) £6.50
B29 -  late medieval horses (1 frame with three horses) £3

No sign of the greens for the crossbowmen yet - presume that some maybe useable for other regions, as per the other italian figures?

Hope that helps.
Simon.

EA22 - italian mounted crossbowmen (6 riders) £6.50
B29 -  late medieval horses (1 frame with three horses) £3

That works out as a very nice deal - 6 mounted "metal & plastic" for £12.50.
That compares to 6 metal with metal horses 2 x £8 = £16.00 or 6 plastic at £9.00.
Do you mind If I put this on TMP?
