I managed to complete another batch of minis.
I will try to get better photos tomorrow, weather permitting.

And a WIP. mostly just base colors right now.

I bought these Mordheim guys of eBay. I should have looked at the pics a little better as the previous owner went a little crazy with an X-Acto knife and green stuff on a couple of these. They were cheap though.

There are some minis I recognize & some that I've never seen before, but they are all UBERCOOL. GREAT brushwork & basing as always...VERY WELL DONE!

I can relate with the hack & puttied minis; i.e., I have a bunch of on-hold minis for friend/client Justin some of which he started to convert & lost interest...he also lost a lot of the cut off pieces.
I'd NEVER join a club that would have me as a member.  G.Marx

:-* The undead knight in rusted armor is fantastic! The rust on the sword looks like it could flake right off! Is there any texture medium or is that all paint?

I'm interested in closer pics of that monster on camera left in the second row, if you're taking requests.  :D Nice shading on its flesh.

I always love seeing more of your collection completed.

It will probably be a few days, instead of today, but I will get better pics of all of these fellows later.
No texture medium on the undead knight. Just a orange red base with brownish highlights followed by a mucked up silver and then silver highlights. I ended up giving him a light brown wash because he looked a little flat.
I was pretty pleased with the final result.

I finally got a chance to take better pics of my latest batch of minis.

There are a lot more pics on the blog.

Also, I was trying to decide if I wanted to add mushrooms and flock to these Mordheim Cultists I have finished.

What do you guys think?

I think they look bloody lovely, mate!

As for the Cultists bases: Go for it!
They will all tie in nicely together then.

I think without shrooms the mini including base looks a little bit to bland. Mushrooms and patches of flock will add color and contrast.

COOL STUFF all done up in your own distinctive style...GREAT WORK!

I tried some pigments / weathering powders for the first time.
I used mineral spirits to apply the powders as suggested here:
http://forum.oldhammer.org.uk/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=1358

I was pretty pleased for a first go with them!

Plus a workbench pic...

I also started to make the first few initial steps towards creating a modular cobble stone board.
I describe the thought process here:

Although I don't do rusted armor & weaponry myself, the weathering powders did give a VERY realistic rust effect. GREAT WORK!

The buildings you have for your upcoming games board are TERRIFIC LOOKING pieces. Don't let the foam intimidate you; re, most slips in carving/drawing can be corrected...some Woodland Scenics Foam Putty does wonders. Have FUN with the project!
