Yet at the same time there was a kid at our school with Downs Syndrome, though it seemed a mild case (if such a thing is possible: He just seemed to be 'a bit' Downs, if that makes any sense).

You can indeed suffer from different levels of 'Downs' from mild to severe (the Mrs is a midwife and they have to provide some diagnosis of Downs if present at birth).

As to the term Spastic or Spaz it is one of those strange terms that gets used by able bodied people to describe themselves or others behaving in a useless manner, but those same people would find it insulting to use it to describe someone with an actual disability?

Language can be very strange sometimes.

Well, colour me stupid then, as I was flattered by the attention. Should have thought it through really.

Anyway, have made my feelings known:

It seems that FatboyFish or whatever his name was has now deleted the topic, so it never happened, obviously. I hope some of his other members saw what I had to say before he nuked it.

What sort of person has two accounts on their own forum? And is stupid enough to admit to it in their signature?

In retrospect, I should have realised he wasn't on the level. Nobody who uses the word "awesome" quite so much can be right in the head.

Sorry, venting. Seems I really don't like being duped, especially by people who then erase all traces of their wrongdoing.

Git.   :P

Yeah, well, I wouldn't worry about it, from what I saw his forum consists of twelve guys in the same gaming group. Do they really need a forum for that? No wonder he was so desperate for new members.

Anyhoo, lesson learned, vanity chastened, veil drawn.
