I agree that the KS is a little over done at the moment, but I'm still okay with it.  It's not like anyone is forcing us to pledge.

How long before the bubble bursts?

"I need twenty thousand dollars for some custom dice, or I need thirty thousand dollars for sixe figures that no-one else will buy except ne and a few friends"  >:(

Well if they need $30000 for figures no one will buy, then the KS will fail.  Otherwise, it proves that there were people out there willing to buy them, and the KS was the perfect way to know that.

I have to agree here. Sometimes it feels KS is really just a fad and that everyone and his dog is doing it without taking the thought and time to create something decent from the start. However, Reaper's kickstarter has also shown that in some cases it does allow something to happen that wouldn't have otherwise.
Personally it has to be very good before I bother with KS, Reapers is the only one I've jumped at yet and then only close to the end when it started getting to be a ridiculously good deal.

Reaper also had their KS extremely well planned out. so when the money flooded in near the end they had enough ideas ready for them to keep the momentum going. I'm not sure but other companies just jumping on the KS bandwagon may just make things up as they go along not thinking about whether their stretch goals are profitable or not. I'm sure Reaper made profits their priority when sorting out these stretch goals and I'm also sure they will still make a tidy some from this. Plastic is cheap and although I'm super happy to be getting some minis at 50c a mini the plastic is probably still a small percentage of that. The set up will be the biggy.

I'm hoping they'll have their reward manager ready soon. I'm really looking forward to picking all of my extra goodies!

just one question: can i ask why the Reaper team had to code a pledge manager after the end of the funding?
I mean, no matter how many people are pledging, the code should have been ready since a while, no?

Apparently in the KS page there are a good number of touchy people, and my doubts about the honesty of the reaper team (which are more than legitimate in these days) are been taken as personal offenses, replied with gratuit insults... that's great to have LAF, a place with no flames! ;)

anyway, i'm just asking not because i expected my miniatures before a looong time for now, but just because i don't like lies, and i don't see why they had to make a pledge manager after the end of a one-month-long crowdfunding!

If someone knows something more please tell me ^^

I think you're not alone in your thinking.  They had a plan already and a goal of 30k-so you'd think the outline would've been started after that.  Honestly, once they got to 100K, they should've started building it.  After 1 Mil, I hate to be harsh but they really dropped the ball.
  You should read the comments on the KS site.  People aren't happy with the delays at all.

Can't understand the issue. Sure, they haven't developed the Pledge form.
But, will this affect the miniature production? Will the stuff not arrive in March? Are we in March?

@basaint
i have read and commented, and after i put my doubts on the web people starting insulting me saying that i blame but i'm not expert enough to talk.

acutally, i've done 4 exams of programming, i'm not a pro at all but enough to understand this ^_^

@silversixx
i think there are two problems:
1) General delay: as any project is quite normal to expect delays. that is not great but march is quite an ambitious goal, and the delays are probable.
2) telling stuff about a misterious code very very hard to make: if they have delays due to the casters, or simply due to the enormous amount of stuff to cast is perfectely reasonable. BUT please don't say anything about the pledge master! Just be honest!

Or, as i said, there's something more or less technical i'm missing, that's not impossible, and i would be pleased to be updated about it ^^

EDIT: the pledge master delay will not affect the march date, but for shure is affecting right now the first batch of models, that i'm waiting quite impatientely! ;)

Well the pledge manager is going out to people now. I just locked in my selections. I added 1 Mythos Monsters, an extra of both the IMEF and NOVA corps sets, a Frost Wyrm, 2 figure cases, 2 sets of Deep Dwellers and 2 Cthulhus to my stuff. Didn't have to spend any extra money above what I'd already pledged, so that was cool. A shame I won't see any of it until next spring now though. :(

Great, the pledge form doesn't accept å, ä or ö. A pity that my address contains those letters then, arses >:(
Hopefully they read my meassage stating these fact and that they make these changes :)
Had to pay an extra 12 dollars as well. Bastardly big Chtulhu for 10 bucks? Yes please...

Yeah, realizing that everything will be shipped in a single package on march is quite a pain, expecially because nobody said that before! >:(

I'm liking less and less the way Reaper's working, but still the minis are nice... so i've just to hold on!

It actually said so in the info text about four times though :D

One single heavy package to Italy? The chances of that reaching your door is what, 1:4? ;)
