They are quite fast on reply usually. I had one figure missing from my Vampire pledge and it’s suppose to be on it’s way now… we’ll see 8)
A CANADIAN local hobby store with a small selection of historical wargames miniatures (mainly from Warlords). They also have a great selection of paint and hobby accessories from Vallejo, Army painter, AK Interactive, Green Stuff World and more.; https://tistaminis.com/

Not that quick, I'd say. I contacted them one week ago regarding the missing right wing of my Cthulhu and I'm still waiting for the replay.
We'll just have to be patient.

I contacted them two weeks ago and haven't received a reply. Only one miniatures and wondering if I could get it out into my next reaper shipment.

I got a reply about a week ago. I was missing one mini, they gave me an online voucher worth twice the minis retail value to cover  purchase and postage. I had said just put it into my next order so it should cover that and then some.

I don't want a voucher for a purchase for yet another sting at customs. I want my minatures. Which I pledged and payed for.

Bearing in mind I don't really understand all this kickstarter stuff, but my understanding is that they were meant to be a way for a starting business to get off the ground by you buying 'credit', in exactly the same way that a bank would lend money to a business in order to buy 'credit' in the shape of loan repayments with interest.

Aren't Reaper an established business already?

I understand a rookie needing to seek outside investment to get going, but shouldn't a business have enough confidence in its own designs to put its own investment in?

Am I getting this arse backwards?

they are, but they were going to make a great turn, changing metal to "bonesium". It involved a lot of money for the injection moulds, and the kickstarter was a good way to raise the money.

I'm much more pissed off by people just making kickstarters to increase their ranges of minis, after all.

The point is (the upsetting point) that they acted like rookies: they raised a huge amount of money thanks to their enormous renown, then managing the whole deal with delays and annoying lacks of information.

And, apparently, they insist on not being professional. Luckly enough, i didn't have missing pieces in my packet.

I see that as a business decision by the company, that they need to stump up their own money for. I can see the attraction from their perspective - ie. there's minimal financial risk to them because everyone else is paying for it and it is a lot easier to deal with a lot of small investors if something goes wrong, than have to take on a bank.

I'm not saying they're deliberately trying to deceive anyone (I haven't a clue one way or the other), it just seems to me that investment like this in an existing business needs to come from within, which incentivises that company to do their research beforehand, work hard to achieve their aims to the best of their ability and get it right. If they don't, their product won't sell and they won't make back their money. I think in the long run it is better for both parties that they put their own money on the line like this (or borrow from the bank, which amounts to the same thing).

Sorry for this error. It seems you received part of a retailer KS rewards. We are very sorry for this error, but keep it...make some $$ on ebay...this is yours to do as you wish.
If I had more energy, I'd ask for the money back and the miniatures as a compensation. Thankfully, and sadly, I haven't inherited my fathers wheeler dealer antics...
