If it wasn't for the fact that I'm considering my spare hobby time as non-existent at the moment, I would jump the ship. Around 4.5 dollars each for Otherworld Miniatures is a very fair price.
But, I do believe that the Reaper KS has really spoiled us and that the Otherworld deal would have been considered a very good one, but in comparison, its not even a fifth of the miniatures you would get for 280 dollars worth of Reaper KS :(

Except the Reaper ones are the bendy plastic. I only went it at the very last minute because of the translucent elemental types. That is the main usefulness of plastic, IMO: Fire, water and ice effects, and similar.

I really like when spell effects can be represented on the table. Consider a fireball. Wouldn't it be cool if it worked like a torpedo from Battlefleet Gothic?! Depending upon the rules being used, rather than just flying off 24" to hit the target, it could move 6 or 8" per strike rank (or initiative point, or whatever) until it hits where it was aimed at. So it could hit others who move into it's path at a later SR or it could be dodged if one's strike rank comes up first. If one had a translucent fireball model it would be perfect for just such a representation...

I think the price is very good for what you get, don't forget you will get at least four shipments for free if you choose the level seven deal. Then you have four small Feldherr cases, the bases and three bonus figures. With $12,925 allready reached, you also get a Weapons & Equipment pack as well as a Treasure Items pack. I am damned sure we will at least reach both 15,000 (Adventurers' Campside with bed-rolls, a camp fire and cooking pots) and 20,000 (Adventurers' Cart set).

That is a pretty good deal. I don't know what you prefer, but I want to make deal, which doesn't leave the company offering it in financial turmoil. Cause I want Otherworld to be here many many more years around and produce more of these fantastic miniatures.

In contrast to some big companies, which used kickstarters as part of an advertisment campaign, Otherworld really need ther money to finance this project.

Oh man....Otherworld Miniatures has pissed off my wife.  She knows I'm going to be buying these.  She was walking by the PC when I was looking at the greens and her exact words were, "Oh Crap!  Try to keep it reasonable (implying hit to our finances)."   It's a good thing I find level 5 "reasonable"...   She should have been more clear, obviously.  ;D

Aaaand... I'm in! At level 7, no less (it seems to be the most popular choice - might as well go all the way, eh?)

Come on, let's unlock those stretch goals!

So roughly 5.49$ per figures... that seem a little steep, no?
A CANADIAN local hobby store with a small selection of historical wargames miniatures (mainly from Warlords). They also have a great selection of paint and hobby accessories from Vallejo, Army painter, AK Interactive, Green Stuff World and more.; https://tistaminis.com/

Update from the site from earlier today.

"This is just a short update to pass on some news, and to let you all know what to expect over the next few days.

Kev Adams is close to finishing the Monk miniature for the DAB1 boxed set. It’s looking great, and I’ll post a photo as soon as I can.

Other sculptors are busy working on various stretch goal rewards, including a lovely new mule by eBob.

Des Hanley has agreed to do the concept drawings for the Female Characters box, and he’ll be starting on the first ones in the next few days, so we should have something to show you soon. He’s also going to design and sculpt a figure for us, which we may use as a stretch goal reward, if needed!

Paul Gallagher is hard at work on the first concept drawings for the Demi-humans boxed set, and the first batch of 4 will be with us soon.

Thanks again for all your support, and I’m very grateful to those of you who have been spreading the word around the gaming communities.

All the best,

Richard Scott

Have loads of (still unpainted) Otherworld minis and they make great monster figures.

I've really wanted to see some Adventurers from them for some time - and being weak willed lead junkie that I am I've just signed up for a Level 7!

Another update
"Not really an update – just a quick note to draw your attention to a couple of new photos in the gallery.
One is the mule which will soon be hitched to the Adventurers’ Cart, the newly-achieved stretch bonus for $20k.
The 2nd is a work-in-progress photo of Kev Adams’ new Monk model, pretty close to completion.
More additions to the gallery will follow in the next couple of days.
Cheers,
Richard Scott

There's more concept art up in the gallery: Demi-human adventurers.

Not far off the $25k now either. :D

This was the first "kickstarting" project to get me interested, but obviously I don't belong to the target audience. Seems a bit picky to reserve some bonuses to high-level supporters. A fine offer for those people that can shell out 225 to 280 USD (plus customs) at once. I cannot. :'(

Good luck to Otherworld nevertheless.
